What Three Words ///free.spring.teams will put you right on the doorstep.

A train arriving at Atherton Central station.

By Train

The closest train station is Atherton.

From Atherton station walk down to the lights, turn right onto the main road, and walk a few hundred yards to the roller rink on your left.

We really recommend using an app for train timetables as Northern Trains are in a bit of a state right now with short notice cancellations and rail replacement buses. If you want to be old school though the Northern Rail timetables are here. You want the one for N14 – Manchester to Southport and Headbolt Lane.

The 582 bus arriving at the Bent and Bongs Beer Bash.

By Bus

From Bolton or Leigh (582 Bus)

From Bolton or Leigh use the 582 bus service. The 582 stops right outside the roller rink.

From Horwich, Westhoughton, and Daisy Hill (516 Bus)

The 516 service runs between Horwich, Brazley, Lostock, Middlebrook, Westhoughton, Daisy Hill, Atherton, Howe Bridge, and Leigh.

The closest 516 stop is the Market St / Bag Lane stop. From here it’s a short walk through Atherton to the roller rink.

The 516 also runs to/from Leigh. From Leigh the 582 is the better bus as it stops right outside the beer festival.

From Wigan or Worsley (132 Bus)

The 132 service runs between Wigan, Hindley, Atherton, Tyldesley, Worsley, and The Trafford Centre. From the Trafford Centre it connects with the Metrolink back to Deansgate/Castlefield. The Trafford Centre is an excellent hub for bus and Metrolink connections if coming from further afield. Use the TfGM Journey Planner to get to us.

The 132 will drop you off on Mealhouse Lane or at the Atherton Arms. Both are a similar short walk to the roller rink.

From Manchester by V2 (V2 Bus)

The V2 bus service will bring you to Atherton from Manchester city centre.

Coming from Manchester to Atherton you should get off at the Co-op stop on Market St.

Catch the return V2 to Manchester from the Mealhouse Lane Stop.
